Contain it
Put a bucket or trash can under the drip, with a towel inside to stop splashing.
Move things
Pull furniture, rugs and electronics away from the wet area.
Drain a bulge
If the ceiling bulges, stand to the side and poke a small hole at the lowest point so water drains into the bucket.
Photograph
Take photos of the ceiling, the floor and anything damaged, for your records and insurance.
- If water is near light fixtures, outlets or the panel, turn off power to that area at the breaker
- Stay out from under a sagging ceiling. Wet drywall is heavy
- Do not climb on the roof during a storm or while it is wet
- Keep kids and pets away from the wet area

What happens when you call
Call or text (870) 884-8129. A photo of the ceiling and the roof, if you can see it from the ground, helps a lot. Jacob asks a few questions about where the water is and when it started, then schedules the visit the same day for leaks called in during working hours.
On site, the first job is to stop the water. If the rain has stopped and the roof is safe, we often make the permanent repair right away. If it is still raining or the damage is larger, we make a temporary repair or put on an emergency tarp, then come back to fix it properly once the roof is dry.

After hours: what to do
We do not run a night service. If water starts coming in after we close, contain it with buckets and towels, drain any bulge safely, move valuables and take photos. If a large part of the roof is open, cover furniture with plastic sheeting inside. Then call or text us in the morning. A slow drip overnight is rarely more than a stain if you contain it. A roof opened by a fallen tree is different: keep people out of that room and call your insurance company’s claim line.
Is it really an emergency?
A steady drip, a bulging ceiling or water near electrical fixtures needs attention the same day. A small dry stain that does not grow can usually wait a day or two, though it still needs fixing before it rots the decking. Our answer on whether a roof leak is an emergency helps you decide.

Can you fix a roof leak while it is raining?

Should I call my insurance first?
For storm or tree damage, report it to your insurer early and take photos. You can still call us to stop the water, which most policies expect you to do.

Will the emergency repair be permanent?
Sometimes. If the roof is dry and the damage is small, we fix it on the first visit. Otherwise we stop the water first and come back for the permanent repair.
